RITA: AI receipt analyzer mobile application on iOS and Android
RITA (Receipt Intelligent Analyzer) is Biscovery’s own iOS app — the receipt AI we deploy for enterprises, rebuilt for everyone. Snap or upload a receipt and multimodal AI extracts the merchant, amount, date, category, payment method, and line items. Records organize themselves into list and calendar views, and a monthly AI summary shows where the money went — with export files emailed on schedule for reporting and claims.
Who: Biscovery’s own mobile product·What we used: AI & Machine Learning, Intelligent Document Processing
1The problem
- Paper receipts pile up in wallets and drawers; by the time expense reports or claims are due, the details are gone.
- Typing merchant, amount, and date for every receipt is tedious and error-prone — so most people simply don’t.
- SME owners, freelancers, and busy teams need receipt records for accounting and claims, without adopting heavyweight bookkeeping software.
2What we did
- 1We designed and shipped RITA end to end — product, iOS app, and the multimodal AI receipt pipeline behind it (the same document AI we deploy for enterprise clients).
- 2Capture with the camera or pick from the photo album; AI extracts merchant, date and time, amount and currency, category, payment method, and line items.
- 3Records can be browsed as a list or on a calendar — tap a day with a green dot to see that day’s receipts.
- 4Every field stays editable, and the original receipt image is always attached to its record.
- 5A monthly AI summary totals spending by category with charts and a plain-language insight you can read in one glance.
- 6Export files with images are emailed for reporting and claims — and a monthly schedule sends them automatically, no app-opening required.
- 7Available in English and Traditional Chinese, with a guest mode to try before registering. Free on the App Store and Google Play (iOS 15+, Android).
